Meet Your Teacher/New CLass Ideas

Become a summer pen pal by giving each child an addressed envelope to you with a stamp.
Play "That's Me" with several comments as a fun get to know you activity.
Have your current class write a letter or make a Top Ten list for your new students to have.
Make a "Me Box" and tell your new students about yourself as you pull out souvenirs.
Have children sit in a circle and toss the a yarn ball around, holding on the end, before passing it on. When everyone has had a turn, have student stand up and talk about how the web is connected, just like they will be. Great time to talk about the classroom family/community you will become!
